Rio Pérez (they/them) is a Venezuelan artist and educator based in Minneapolis, MN. Through photography, collage, and video-making, they seek to build a visual archive of family histories, liminality, and transnational love.

Pérez received a dual B.A. degree in Art, Film & Visual Studies and History & Literature from Harvard College. Their academic focus was contemporary Latine and Latin American visual art. They also hold a Masters in Education degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Their professional goal is to create affirming community art spaces through their practice and increase arts access for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ youth.
